  1. Following my diagnosis of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia, aged 31, in October 2010 I decided to put all my efforts into raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. One of the main events in 2011 is a Charity Race Night at Bedlington Market Place Social Club, with all proceeds going to LLR. Ticket news will follow, its going to be a brilliant night, with prizes up for grabs...and thats without mentioning betting on the horses! I hope as many people as possible can come along and make the night a huge success.
  2. In NCC's defence, the roads to Cramlington have pretty much been spot on since all this started, apart from after the odd heavy shower, but much better than previous winters.
  3. Just want to say thanks to the guy with the huge bobcat who has spent almost all of today going around the hazelmere estate clearing the snow away, right down to the tarmac. Doubt he works for the council so its a tremendous gesture of community spirit to spend his time and money making other peoples lives easier. Cheers!!!
  4. I'd just like to say well done to all the doom mongers on this site. It's the best thing to happen to bedlington in ages and already it's been written off. Most other places would make a concerted effort to get behind it and make it a success like my wife and I and our friends have already said. For those said doom mongers, if u aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem, please keep your opinions to yourself and in doing so, do the image of this up and coming town a massive favour.
  5. Looks like during the demolition, theyll have a temporary store in the car park just infront of the Lord Barrington. Cant happen soon enough IMO, breathe a bit of life back into this sleeping town of ours!
  6. There are notices in the Public Notice section today in the NPL. They're wanting to demolish the existing store. Go here, http://econsultation.planningportal.gov.uk Click on the public section, enter postcode NE22 5TN, then click on the tab Consultation documents to view the documents.
  7. Bedlington Terriers play Ashington in the Wansbeck Derby on Bank Holiday Monday, 11am kick off at Dr Pit Welfare Park, Bedlington. Its gonna be a great game, blood and thunder and all. Come along and cheer on the Terriers!

  9. To be held ont he front street, full details can be found on the flyer which is downloadable at this link: http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Default.aspx?page=8291

  11. Bedlington Terriers FC will hold their AGM at their clubhouse at 11am this Saturday, 10th July. Anyone can attend.
  12. So, now that an Ashington lad has been voted in, kiss goodbye to Bedlington from all OS and political maps for the next 5 years. In the meantime, the council will continue to pi$$ money in Ashingtons direction - and what good has that done????
  13. Bedlington Terriers, on a good run of form, face third palced Dunston UTS at Dr Pit Welfare PArk on Saturday, 27th March. Terriers Sign ex-International

Bedlington Terriers are delighted to announce that they have signed ex-Jamaican International forward Trevor Benjamin. Trevor has many former clubs, and they include: Cambridge United, Leicester City, Northampton Town, Coventry City, Peterborough United, Hereford United, Gainsborough Trinity and Kidsgrove Athletic. Whilst representing Jamaica at full international level (debut in 2002), he also played for Englands Under 21 side in 2001. Most recently Trevor was with Woking Town but since relocating to the region, Bedlington have been first to the post to get his prestigious signature. He will obviously be a great player to have at the club and his experience will prove invaluable.

  16. I would assume with the still relatively new SE Northumberland Police Command HQ just across the road, it wouldn't make much sense in closing the law courts?
  17. Totally agree - top scran and always have such a laugh with Laza and Joe when I'm there!
  18. Todays FA Vase match at Welfare Park between Bedlington Terriers and Spennymoor will go ahead, despite the heavy rain. Kick off is at 3pm!
  19. Panda Inn is tremendous, we'll be there tomorrow night.
  20. Absolutely, give it a go. And inform the local police or community support officer of your plan so they can keep up to date on problems they might otherwise not be aware of.
  21. Bedlington Terriers FC face their biggest game of the season (so far hopefully) when they entertain high flying Spennymoor Town in the FA Vase on Saturday 14th November. With the FA Vase being the Holy Grail for the club, a visit to Wembley would give the Terriers a massive opportunity to avenge their 1999 defeat at Wembley in the final, but there are many hurdles between then and now. The game on Saturday could not be tougher, with big spending Spennymoor coming to town backed by a large travelling contingent. The outfit from County Durham will be hell bent on revenge following Bedlington's 2-1 league victory at Welfare Park in October. With the increased interest in this week's game and the resultant traffic, the club will be working with Northumbria Police to provide extra signage asking all supporters to park in the car park behind Tescos. So get behind your local team as they chase the dream of a Wembley appearance. With a bit of luck and plenty of support, the glory days could be on their way back"¦..starting Saturday!
  22. Come on then, own up! Who was it that sent about 10 chinese lanterns up on Wednesday night around 8.30-9.00pm? Seemed to be coming from the Ridge Farm to Nedderton area, if not further away (Hartford Bridge). They looked great from where we were standing at the Terriers football ground!
  23. Just changed my Honda Civic for a BMW 320d, what a difference! Loved the Civics styling but its the worst built car I've ever owned.
  24. Sent our dog there a few months back and came back a different dog! What a difference there was and the job they had done was outstanding. For only £25, the amount of pampering he got was unreal. Definitely will be sending him back again soon!
  25. Phil Dunn fitted a new condensing boiler and the service was outstanding, talked through the whole job and didnt stop working for 3 days until it was done. Outstanding quality and service! PM me if you want his mobile number.
