The Scots have never liked the English ruling over them so the visit by the heads of the three English/British political parties may backfire.

Hi Joanne,
I do not know Anthea although I think she may have married and now lives in the Blyth area with her family.
I do not think it would be appropriate to post details on the forum however if you could send me a message I may be able to assist.

Hi Tonyp,
Francis and Jane Heron were in Salmon Place in 1911 with their children Mary 8yrs, Francis 6yrs, Margaret 4yrs and Samuel 2yrs. Jane is shown as 34 yrs from Bellingham.
It appears that Francis Ward Heron married Jane Charlton in 1901 in Bellingham.

'Glimpses of Old Bedlingtonshire' is one of Evan Martin's books that mentions the Fish family who lived in The Neuk in Salmon Place.
Apparently their neighbours were the Haddock family.

Hi Eggy, There is nothing on the card that assists to identify each of the locations. There is a clue to the date not being 1644 on the back of the card as one was posted 16th August 1924. The images of the Market Cross, Trotters monument and the church will be familiar to most but the woodland and river scene may not be as easy to work out.

There has been a suggestion that the 'Bedlington Terriers' in the photograph may be the 7th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers ( Territorial Force ).
Apparently the cap badges appear consistent with the Northumberland Fusiliers and the shoulder titles look consistent with the Territorial Force.
