  1. All in the way you read situations. Swearing Malcolm Robinson as if I would ! Word correct From not Feom. My guess is a few more links from threegee any excuse! Premier Exit sadly for the Toon. Rebirth maybe.
  2. Yesterday's headline page 50 The Journal. Overwhelming 'yes' vote in the Rafa referendum as Prexit arrives. Feom a 'Wake' to a 'Rebirth'. I hope so!
  3. Tuesday the 17th at the Netherton Club. Get along / what can you loose £10 and what can you gain health and happiness. Do not wait for these people to play Arena's get along to the Club. Text the phone number to reserve tickets. You know it makes sense. Unless you need to come home from around the World
  4. Some matches make all the difference. Newcastle 5 Spurs 1 Even setting up a 'Just Giving ' page to beat Sunderland. Money for charity against money for a plane and cheeky banner over the ground today. Then there is the picture of a new shirt featuring adds from UPS Total FCUK rearranged of course.
  5. Aye next weekend the 22nd May at Wembley. Come on the Highwaymen or the Peth.
  6. Well done Malcolm Robinson. Good Luck.
  7. What about 'Plastic Fire Cement'. Sounds a little crazy and dangerous to me.
  8. Just watch those developers. Any find could mean time lost for them. Hopefully the lads are from Bedlington and would 'flag' up anything unusual. We should remember recycling is not new, the stones of history could still be being used in all the walls and building materials. Look how many houses along the Roman Wall are recycled stone. Any publicity from this build could also draw in the railway enthusiasts. Daniel Gooch Year maybe. Bedlington Iron Works and regeneration say a 'Kelpies' initiative. At least something. (Iron or Railway 'driven')
  9. Back to the 'Nail' 'Put it on the Nail' I believe referred to making a deal spitting on your hand, then shacking another deal makers hand and finally putting both 'deal makers' hands on the 'Nail' to seal the deal. I suppose the point was it was a public declaration. They could also swear on a bible but that assumes religion is paramount. Get NCC, Arch, Ascent and our County Councillors to 'Put it on the Nail' and swear undying loyalty to our town in front of all "The Make a Noise Group'. It may be our best option.
  10. Whatever else we have the saying:- Harley Pans for Sailors Bedlington for Nailers. Plus 'Put it on the Nail' It is the simple things that make our town the best. Please tell NCC and local councillors.
  11. This place is amazing. Volunteers researching all things mechanical. HPW these maybe of interest
  12. An apology would be nice HPW These people may now be good citizens who wish they had treated people fairly.
  13. Very sad week for Newcastle. I think get rid of every player and pay the Morpeth team to take over.
  14. If granted these houses will set a president for more to be built within the Country Park. The access road appears to be falling away down the bank to Humford. Who will repair this after all the site traffic?
  15. Reference the pictures in my previous post. In the past it seems the area of the school had been investigated for any historical connection. They found nothing ! Who paid them to find nothing? Maybe they were independent, however this is the golden opportunity. The history is in those stones and possibly at a much lower level than we think. The level of the road could well be an indicator of exactly where things could be found. The huge quantity of stones they are removing could indicate what happened in the past. That would possibly mean a lower level investigation would prove useful to our history. I believe this was the site for the Bishops Palace. I know others think it was the old hall.
  16. These are pictures I took on Wednesday
  17. E Bay is something we keep thinking to join. Retirement means we are rarely in one place for long. One fine day!
  18. Brilliant Champions. A great story of achievement.
  19. I hope Bedlington is remembered in any celebration near or far. Our glorious past becomes our future. A town with so much history to celebrate.
  20. What to keep and what to bin? I feel some of these belong in Beamish.
  21. Once again Eggy your research is excellent.
  22. This is a very sensitive site for Bedlington. Any devopment that requires 'digging down' could unearth our history. Hopefully if anything is found it is not destroyed. A CCTV camera would be a good idea.
  23. The house on the higher level at Humford extended their Boundry wall by simply moving all the stones. This meant that where people used to park they could not park anymore. Why should this be an issue? Well an old relative who knew the area well was outraged that public highway land could simply be taken over. My questions would be who owns the land and are there any public access issues. If we all go and enclose a piece of land can we then claim ownership!
