  1. That's a terrible lie for schools to tell kids.mercuryg. Our special friend and ally, Mr. George Dubya Bush, knew how crap the education system was though when he said, "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" Actually, from what I've been able to find out, the polar bears are doing very well thank you. Their population has increased 500% over the last 50 years.
  2. Why did he pick that event Maggie. Jewish roots maybe. Just guessing. Given all the Bible-bashers and Global Warming alarmists, it may have been better if Adam and Eve had topped one another and left the planet to it's own devices!
  3. No, that can't possibly be true. I've seen with my own eyes poster of cute, white, fluffy polar bears that will be wiped out by global warming. Pass me my wallet, and a hankie........
  4. Just seen this headline on the BBC News site ... COP21: Paris climate deal 'more likely' after terror attacks No further comment! (**Shakes head.**)
  5. True, not all Germans were evil, but they weren't all bound by the same restrictive religious ideology.
  6. There's currently 15 countries bombing Syria. If IS haven't been beaten by now they never will be.
  7. I voted NO on both counts. I didn't bash my brains out either, trying to think of the right answers. To me, it's simple. I simply vote against ANYTHING that Cameron and this corrupt government want. End of.
  8. There were two Muslim girls on the train, sisters, and I work with their brother. I would never, in a million years, expect any trouble at all from this family. The thing to remember with Islamism though, is that you're in it for life. You can't just chop and change religions or become an atheist, it's not allowed, upon pain of death. In fact, it's against their religion to take your own life, which is why it's thought that many suicide bombers had suicidal tendencies in the first place and becoming a 'martyr' was the only way of achieving their aim without offending Allah.
  9. I have a Black Belt in Origami Maggie. Comes in handy when you have grandkids!
  10. I saw most of it Maggie. Great bloke, Wilko.
  11. Just a bit light-hearted relief in this serious debate ... :D
  12. Well, we're about to reap what we have sown, with all our ridiculous wars alongside our 'allies' and, of course, our 'special friends,' the US. Start a war in a foreign country, then close your borders to all the innocent people fleeing that country. Nice. These jihadists are killing innocent people in Europe, but is that not we've done to their people countless times? About 90% of the people killed in Drone strikes are innocent people, just like you and me. Most of the terrorists are already here, hidden within our population. The terrorists at the Bataclan were speaking French FFS! Call it conspiracy theory if you like, but many people reckon ISIS was concocted by the US (much the same as al-Qaeda). The same old, same old, .... Problem. Reaction. Solution, and believe me, you need to fear the solution more than the problem. Just my two-pennorth.
  13. The Guardian: Obama's drone war a 'recruitment tool' for Isis, say US air force whistleblowers. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwx-CNoyY Hope that link works, I'm on my mobile.
  14. The question is: Why are we surprised? Successive governments have systematically brought the industrial might of this nation to it's knees We're no longer a player in the global grand scheme. Unless we all get off our lazy arses and call a general strike NOW, we'll have nothing left to strike for in a few years time.
  15. Thanks, I'll definitely be checking them out.
  16. Cheers Ovalteeny. I enjoy anything with a bit of slide guitar in it.
  17. I'm all for blasting him to hell too, but I'm totally against drones of any kind. It was a sad day indeed when I learned our own RAF were involved in cowardly remote drone strikes from Waddington. Where's all the heroes we keep hearing about?
  18. The only info I can find on the roadworks is from http://northumberland.roadworks.org/ Move the map, zoom in, and hover your mouse over the roadworks icons to get a description of the work being carried out. Seems to be for anti-skid work and bend warning sign improvements.
  19. Looks good! Never seen this site before. Thanks.
  20. Nice site, but a quick word of warning for anyone not used to the devious little ways of the internet .... DO NOT click on the big green Download button on the page! This is an ad that will take you to a website that downloads their own installer onto your machine. This installer will install a browser toolbar which will be extremely difficult to remove. Instead, use the Download arrow at the top of the screen.....
  21. Another Eric Bogle song, 'The Band Played Waltzing Matilda,' for our Aussie allies ...
  22. Did they beat the drums slowly, did they play the fife lowly? Did they sound the Death March as they lowered you down? Did the band play the Last Post and chorus? Did the pipes play the Flowers of the Forest?
  23. That's true, and I can't understand why the government is so against young mums with a shed load of kids. They should be GIVING them money, not taking it away! They're our future population and the more, the merrier, I say.
  24. It seems to be generally agreed that any population with a birth rate of below 2.1 will become extinct. The birth rate of the British white population is 1.8 (ONS figure). On the other hand, Muslim birth rates are high - somewhere between 3 and 4 I believe. No prizes for guessing the outcome of those figures. If Islam wasn't such a hate-filled ideology I probably wouldn't take issue with it, each to their own and all that, but there's a great need to be concerned here, especially for our offspring.
