Now on with Fiefox but off on iPad!
Not working for me at the moment on Firefox or Chrome
-
It wont work for me in Firefox, all I get is a still image, but it does work if I switch browsers and use Chrome.
-
Great to see the videos, looks like a great turn out, thanks Foxy for putting them on hear.
Vic,
The Toon were a shadow of a football team and a dim shadow at that. They are heading for relegation for sure.
-
Hi Pete, yes I was able to enlarge the picture (using my A.......e iPad, but don't tell 3G!) now to watch the Toon,
Don't bother Vic, there getting beat 2 0 after 15 minuets. They look like a team that's beat from the the kick off, could be a cricket score this one.
-
Great turnout! Pity no sound or zoom on the Bedlington camera!, no Periscope either....
Just viewed it on Live, as you say Vic, an excellent turn out but pity we could not hear the noise. Zoom can be achieved by using Ctrl and + but it gets a bit pixeated.

The Dragons just gone shopping so ave put me feet up in the back garden till she comes back.

Happy Birthday, have a good day.

Knights in cardboard box crests - that was ootright sophisticated. Hahd on a minute here. Joustin on bikes wi claes props for lances an' dustbin lids for shields - am I just imaginin' it or did that really happen?
Never got as far as claes props and dustbin lids, just a bit of cardboard wi a bit of string through it for a shield and wooden swords.
When we played cowboys and indians you never got killed, you just counted to ten and you where alive again.
-
Knights in armor was another good game. We would get cardboard boxes from the shops, paint crests on them, a big box for body armor and smaller one for your heed a bit of cardboard cut in the shape of a shield and a bit of wood for a sword.

If you were an Indian you had to take your top off on a hot summers day you would be red raw with the sun & your mum would put loads of cream on you to try & sooth you no sunblock in them days.
Calamine lotion was the favourite

Funny how time went at a different speed in those days! I think 1 day =one week, 1 week= 1 month!!!! one snooze and a nap and the day is almost gone!
Spot on Vic, a year felt like an eternity and Christmas seem as if it would never come.

Great beer and lovely people too!
A good selection of real ale.

"Right how about a Boutique Hotel."
Interesting idea; I know of few places to stay around here, but my friends at The Swan seem to decent trade.
The Swan, stayed there well worth the money, rooms are fantasic and the food.

Pete, the idea with the privacy screens in India is to preserve wömen's modesty but equally so to prevent men getting overly excited at the sight of a woman - as they do! So they are about keeping things in the dark, as it were, and preventing undue excitement. I Think I might be beginning to see a Connection here.
CL, now that you have explained that, I to can see a connection.
-
There was also the occasional 'cloot roond the lugs'. They weren't so nice!
Phew, that brought back some memories I could almost feel the pain.
-
We certainly need more of them. "Come to Bedlington: buy a house, sue someone, get yourself a posey and have your hair done" (plus get a tattoo, have a beer, buy dinner.....)
You missed one Merc, see the artistic chewing gum patterns as you walk from the car park up past the Market Tavern.
-
Thanks Malcolm, it's Interesting to see that this Word stems from the screen used in the preservation of women's modesty. albeit in Turkey and not in India where I first came across it. I still can't see any Connection with it's use in British politics.
I agree CL, I don't see its connection, it was probably a word conjured up to confuse fools like me into believing that MPs where intelligent.

I'm with you Pete, never heard it myself either
When I first read the e-mail Merc, I thought it was a miss speeling.
-

-
Thank Bayardm and CL, I dont think I have ever come across that word before.

Adam, Malcolm, Anybody, just a simple question. What does Purdah mean?
Below is an extract from an e-mail I revieved because I signed the pettion.
As this petition has now closed, a response will be organised and presented to a future meeting of the South East Area Committee.
Confirmation will be provided in due course about the date of the meeting to which the report will be presented, which is expected to be after Purdah in May or June. Further details will follow.
