  2. I follow conversations and comment whenever possible, I don't visit albums very often as I find backing out of an album takes so many clicks! Your suggestion CL makes a lot of sense and being a regular user it would seem a logical way to set it up.

  13. Yes that's me, how did you discover that eating coal cured heartburn? maybe an old wives remedy? Burnt toast is the only odd remedy I'd heard of.

That was one of my jobs, Mondays at lunch time, collecting the peelings from our neighbours ,haul them to the allotment and put them into the kettle boiler, light the fire, then go back to school. (but did wash my wellies first!) and feed the chucks! After school go and feed the grunters the pig-swill, clean the straw, empty the sump! collect some eggs, always amazed me to see the grunters eating lumps of coal!

Nice to see there was a good turnout, it's a pity they (David) didn't have a handout to enable everyone follow the tour especially with the noise from the traffic, it would also serve to remind one of the tour and share with others, I hope the unwell lady recovered and was updated about the tour.

Yes James Joyce is my sister-in-law, and now lives in Sparwood, BC, Colin passed away 2017, they moved here (Grande Cache) in 1969 when the mine and Town first opened, (I think it was still McIntyre Mines then! )then they moved to Kaiser Resources, Sparwood 1971, later spent some time in Collie Australia.
  23. We (Doreen Dagless) lived in #3, first house around the corner, the back gardens (leak trenches!) were next to each other. I think whoever was in #1 worked or owned one of the garages
