@Andy Millne going back to the late 1950's and early 1960's we asked on the Bygone Bedlington FB group if anyone remembered the name of the shop, opposite the old Palace Theater/Wallaw cinema/Domino/Flats , on the corner of Palace Road, Bedlington Staton. One member came back with this comment :-
