Bedlington.co.uk 2020 refresh

Recommended Posts

I have been working on some changes to the website that will be going live in the next few weeks. This is mainly to simplify the experience and refresh the look a little.

While I'm working on it I thought I would try and gather a bit of feedback.

Does anybody have anything they find particularly annoying in the current site or any other things they feel are missing that should be available?

Pleased to see you're putting the lockdown to good use, Andy! the site is fine by me. The only thing missing is meals on wheels. You couldn't arrange that could you?

I miss the members list as it was previously. I've also got two memberships now since early this week when I was attempting to log on with a different device. It created a second account for me and I cannot delete it?

I don't have two accounts @John Fox (foxy) & @john fox but when I log in on different machines (= 2 x Desktop PC -one Windows Vista & one Windows 10) it is as if I have two accounts. I Log in on one machine and then I would have expected that I would not have to log in on the other machine but In do. However when I comment from either machine they do use the same member Id. @Andy Millne will probably be able to delete/remove one of your accounts.

I sent you a private message to resolve this so private info isn't revealed.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

Almost two-thirds of residents feel the Government was too late introducing a local lockdown in the North East as Covid-19 cases continue to rocket, according to a ChronicleLive survey.
Tighter restrictions were imposed across the region's seven council areas on September 18 in a bid to combat the spike in coronavirus cases.
But numbers continue to soar at an alarming rate, with North East cases more than doubling to 2,524 in the week leading to September 21 from 1,107 in the previous seven days.
According to Public Health England data covering the seven days to September 22, Newcastle now has the highest rate of infection in the North East and the fifth-highest in England – with the city’s numbers almost tripling.
Newcastle recorded 632 new cases in that week, with an infection rate of 208.7 per 100,000 people. That was compared to 224 new cases and a rate of 74 in the previous 7 days.
South Tyneside had previously had the second-highest rate in England, but is now eighth according to the latest figures. The borough recorded 301 new cases with an infection rate of 199.4 per 100,000.
