Double or quits?

Right! Your on!

That prognosis is the opposite of the Swedish prognosis which says 0-0 draw with Sweden winning on penalties.

Naturally, I'll have to cheer for Sweden but secretly I'll be cheering for England.

Ask me again tomorrow when 'we' are sober!

Are you sober yet?

There is a slight possibility England might beat Croatia and then a more likely result  will be  getting hammered in the final - Belgium or France:wave:.

England's journey in the world cup :-

England ranked 12th by FIFA -

Tunisia ranked 21st. -

Panamar ranked 55th -

Belgium, 1st team ranked 3rd - there 2nd team beat our mixed 1st & 2nd team.

Columbia ranked 16th - penalties

Sweden ranked 24th.

Next opponents - Croatia ranked 20th (who went to penalties to beat Russia ranked 70th).

If we get through the semi final then Belgium, ranked 3rd, or France ranked 7th.

I know there are always games that go the underdogs way but I think England, if they stick with the same starting 11 as they did last match, will now be defending more than anything else. Unless they substitute Jordan Henderson (defensive midfield), Dele Alli (attacking [supposedly] midfield) & Raheem Stirling (attacking midfield) with a defensive midfielder that pick out a forward with a pass, and two attacking midfielders that an actually get passed the opposition, with the ball!

More or less! But, it's taking a bit longer for the 17 males with whom I watched the match! Seeing grown men cry is a terrible thing.

Double or Quits - I'll say England to win the World cup - that should balance the books:thumbsup:

    • Northumberland County Council's bid for a new caravan and camping site at Druridge Bay Country Park has been given the green light.
The proposals, for a plot to the south of Ladyburn Lake, were approved by eight votes to two by the North Northumberland Local Area Council this week.
The scheme had attracted 35 objections from residents - and three letters of support - while East Chevington Parish Council was opposed to what it described as 'simply commercialisation of public land', but no objectors spoke against the application at Tuesday's (May 21) meeting.
The planning officer's report said that camping provision was specifically included in the provision when the park was created in 1983, before opening to the public three years later.
It adds that the area in question continues to be used for camping to this day, but 'due to the modern popularity of caravans/camper-vans, the current set-aside area is no longer considered fit for purpose.'
Coun Jeff Watson said: "It's quite obvious that the area we are talking about is already used for this purpose at various times.
