Old School

That's the one I was shown a picture of what it should look like when finished.

Supposedly the plans have been agreed.

NCC should give details if it is correct.

Looks like lots of flats but maybe not.

Who knows what we will get in Bedlington!

Plans can be agreed but development does not necessarily go ahead .

We need someone in Bedlington to coordinate the exact details.

No confusion and no speculation .

Who do you believe about what is planned!

Maybe we have to trust our leaders.

That has not got us too far .

Maggie - is this still the Nicholson Nairn architects computer generated image of the proposed new flats you are talking about, or are there new plans?

Sorry folks, the only old school I know of is the one on Church Lane, and I can't find any new plans related to it's current status. Can you please point me in the right direction.

Info in another posting was:- As the Appeal Decisions document has a Decision date 8th January 2010 and this expires after 5 years does this mean that Nicholson Nairn Architects will be initiating the construction of the new apartments before the end of 2014?

As the appeal decision has now expired do we know of another appeal or decision?

Bayardm - old images + a copy of the proposed development Nicholson Nairn still have on their web site :-

I wonder what safeguards are in place about the wall next to the school.

This goes onto the main road and path next to Church Lane

A barrier is still in place.

The crack is significant and alarming .

It goes the full height of the wall.

If the wall falls it could cause death and injury.

Public liability insurance is all very well but stopping any accident occurring should be a priority.

It seems the development, that never was, on this site was being 'flagged up recently' as a victory for council planning.
