Aghh!  Not Leonard Cohen ... no, no, no!  Nightmare!  Why?

First year in Halls of Residence (1969) the guy in the next room to me only ever played LC, on and on and on it went ... ditties to commit suicide by.  Obviously, an important cultural influence for the Cramilington Budgie Strangler.  I had to blast out Cream to neutralise the neighbouring dirges.

Guess headphones are the answer Symptoms..

We had to sit through the Newport Jazz Festival on Christmas Day with our kids educating us on the impressive artists.

Seems our Christmas cd did not make the play list of acceptable listening.

Emile Sande drew the biggest groan.

Our Grandkids love 'Frozen' but that proved a big turn off for our children.

Maggie, I like your classification "Like or dislike".

Music is great, it's just some music is better than others.

Alternatively, there is the old saying "Life's too short to listen to bad music".

I much prefer music that cannot be classified, the sort that crosses over 2 or 3 genres. I guess Emile Sande could fall into that bracket!

I hate that word "genre".
