So Tim Healy switched the lights on in Ashington.

Guess we all have to wait with excitement for tomorrow in Bedlington.

Just heard Lights Switch On postponed until Monday!

Same times? Is that confirmed? If you're quick I'll send an updated bulk mail and update the news story.

A day to remember, sadly not for the Bedlington Christmas Lights.

The river Tyne has burst its banks, it seems the Court House has been evacuated.

Dare I turn up ?  was stood there on my own frozen stiff on Thursday. Brian, the Red line wouldn't let me in cos I was shaking too much and couldn't hold a drink without spilling it .  The local kids were jumping on my back too see who could stay on the longest .

So what time is the switch on tonight?

Parade starts about 3.30pm-4.00pm, entertainment after that.

Switch on was going to be 7.00pm and I think it still is.........

If you want to watch the lantern parade it will be leaving Morrisons car park at 4pm - walking up past the library and doctors then up to big roundabout at Wetherspoons then turning left down Front Street down to Market Square. Big Bedlington Terrier and 50 lanterns. If you want to join in and carry a lantern be at Morrisons at 3.45
