Straight from the FT:

RTL sells Five to Desmond for £103.5m

RTL has sold Five to Richard Desmond, the owner of the Daily Express, the Daily Star and OK! magazine, for £103.5m.

The deal sees Mr Desmond become the first individual to control a UK public-service broadcaster

Well, times are tough!

And... I think the Financial Times means Channel Five.
