Best Local Band..

Recommended Posts

There`s a few local bands/singers, knocking about but is there anyone that sticks out?!

Well, i`ve got to say, listened to Jake Bullit, and they`re absolutely fantastic!, not to mention the lead singer/guitarist Titch is sitting next to me :D

Anyway, they`re playing the Carling Acadamy on the 15th December (supporting Sonic Boom Six)

Be there or be square :D

If you`re not sure who they are check THIS out! :D

Aye he`s deffo gay, not that i`m bothered about that like..i am bothered about the fact that he sits upstairs watching AND listening to workers/customers..does he have signs up to let people know about this? Probably not!

I`m also bothered about the fact he makes life unbearable for the female members of staff..don`t believe me? He now only has one female member of staff working for him, the rest are blokes!

Also..he has been known to ply the male bartenders with drink then come on to them..

Oh, he also changes pay days to a Sunday when you`re waiting on your usual Saturday pay-check? Surely this is illegal?

And also, he`s a complete bully, i know a member of staff who he has reduced to tears..he`s nowt but a !*[email protected]#

And before this thread gets wiped i`d like to say..get the little hitler on here and see what he says..he can`t deny any of the above because it`s true..

And while we`re on..i hear he`s handed his notice in.this is one point i may be wrong on..here`s hoping though :D

So he gets away with drugging lads then trying to molest them - whilst recording it all on camera... and to top it off he's chuffed to bits because it's given the Red Lion a bit of an image?

The Red Lion is a horrible, stinking, chava ridden, crap hole. What I want to know is how it is actually possible for a pub as big as the Lion to absolutely STINK of piss? Not just the area around the toilets, but the whole pub!? The seats are slashed to bits, some tables only have three legs, there’s graffiti everywhere, the clientele speak in an incomprehensible language (possibly !*[email protected]# ?) and the floor looks as if people have died and rotted on it.

Quite a serious allegation to be making, no?

The best local band I've ever heard were the Station's own 'Greek Love'. Quality electronica for the discerning music lover.

    • A big-hearted donation by one of South East Northumberland’s largest employers has enabled local football club, Bedlington Terriers FC, to provide its players, staff and visitors with rapid emergency response should it ever be needed.
Lynemouth Power Station has gifted the community club with a life-saving heart defibrillator which will now be installed at the Welfare Park ground. If deployed within three to five minutes of a cardiac arrest, such equipment could potentially increase the chances of someone surviving a heart attack from six to 74 per cent. Each minute without CPR and defibrillation also reduces a patient’s survival rate by between seven and ten per cent.*
The Northern League Division Two club is home to seven teams and over 80 footballers from senior players to an under 6 ‘tots’ team. Along with daily training sessions and match attendances, the club sees hundreds of people visiting the ground on a weekly basis therefore the defibrillator has been very well received by all.
Rowan Edwards, Commercial Director of Bedlington Terriers FC, commented, “This is a vital piece of first aid equipment and we are extremely grateful to Lynemouth Power Station for their kind donation. Given the number of on-site staff, players training each week and visitors to the ground, it is essential that our trained staff have instant access to life-saving equipment in case of emergencies. It will mean a lot to everyone here at the club as well as the local community, so we’re very grateful for the power station’s support.”
Janet Mole from Lynemouth Power Station added, “Having these devices installed in popular public places and venues is so important, so rather than just donate to the fundraising effort, we decided to purchase the equipment outright on behalf of the club. As a local employer, it is important that community initiatives like this are well supported so we’re delighted to hand over the defibrillator to all at the club.”
