Footpaths Of Bedlingtonshire

Recommended Posts

As we have two rivers in our Shire maybe we need to encourage everyone this summer of sunshine and Bedlington in Bloom to rediscover the whole town.

We started today at Sheepwash and thought we could get to Bothal on the Bedlington Side.

Lovely walk but there is no path right along now.

Must look for other walks that have been discussed.

Netherton Lonnen, happenny woods Etc

Right slight change in thought pattern !

How many pathways can you use to get to the Red Lion table 25.

Ie via Gallager Park, Humford, Netherton Lonnen then Choppington all ending at what is now called Spoons

Well, I begin at Choppington, head to the bus stop and end up at the Lion

Gallagher Park is a great asset to the town.

So much space .

I had not realised it linked the town to Bedlington Station.

So many pathways in or out.

Pity the rats have ways to escape when damaging items.

CCTV that's the answer .

Right mercuryg head the other way to Sheepwash

Then walk along the river to Stakeford.

Next catch the bus to the Lion.

Under the bridge is a great sculptured mural.

Indeed, it's very beautiful! I like to walk in the woods behind my house (Choppington Nature Reserve) and if you've never been it comes highly recommended.
