Anyone else noticed a dramatic decline in their connection speed over the last few days?

Is it the weather?

Malcolm

Two days ago there was an 'outage' in Scotland that affected the North East; anyone using BT lines (which is just about everyone no matter who your ISP is) could have experienced a slow down. I rang my ISP to find out what the problem was and was given that information. It is now fixed.

Thanks merc, funnily enough when my friends had that trouble a week ago mine was unaffected? Last couple of days its snail mail early in the mornings? Takes ages just to load up e-mail never mind opening sites.

Nope, not back to normal. We seem to be limited to 2Mbps at the moment.

Try http://www.speedtest.net and post your results.

Tried that the other day, it took about 5 MINS to do the test!
Tried last night, it took about 30 secs?

Mornings used to be about the best time for speedy downloads now it seems evenings are?
