Channel Four TV’s recent A Place In The Sun feature on Bedlington meets with universal disapproval!
“It’s a desperate place Bedlington; at least that’s what it was made out to be on national television.”
“…maybe a campaign to ask channel 4 to redress what we see as a slur and ask them to do a better profile for Bedders?”
“All the town needs is a bit of investment, sort out the wasteland near Tescos, convert Elliotts garage and the church hall and the whole place will be looking much better. … Nowt like sucking the life out of a town and watching it die whilst chucking money at a town like ashington!”

its not what we want to hear but to be honest its the truth bedlington has been left to decompose its my home and I love it but it just shows what outsiders think of it its a sad day when a national TV channel thinks Bedlington is a dump but maybe it will get people motivated to do something with it.
THE ONLY BEST THING TO COME OUT OF THIS IS THE MAY GET THERE ACT INTO GEAR NOW AFTER SEEING IT THE COUNCIL AND SPEND MORE ON US THAN ASHINGTON, BLYTH AND THE OTHERS WE HAVE NOTHING!!! OOPS SORRY WE HAVE A POOL AT ST.BENETS POOL THEY SAY WHAT A LAUGH HAHAHA
WE NEED SOME IN PUT INTO THE TOWN ALL THESE HOUSES POPPING UP BUT NOTHING FOR THE FAMILIES TO DO THE KIDS HAVE NOTHING TO DO AND GET WRONG FOR HANGING AROUND BY THE PRETEND POLICE THAT GO AROUND AND MIND CAN BE VERY INTIMIDATING TO YOUNG ONES THAT ARENT DOING WRONG AS THERE NOT ALL BAD SAYING THAT THERES THE SAME HEAR THAT I HAD NOWT !!! WE NEED CENTERS I.E LEISURE CENTRE FOR THE KIDS COME ON ALL CAN WE CHANGE THE FACE OF BEDLINGTON NOW AND FOR ALL AND WHO WATCHES CHANNEL 4 ANYWAY ITS CRAP ..
