We’ve been contacted to point out that The Blagdon Estate is opening its gardens to the public on Sunday 12th April (Easter Sunday) in aid of the Red Cross.
Hours are 1pm to 4.30pm and entry is £3.50
I visited it some years ago. Quite a spectacular place, must have been really impressive in its hey day.
Open Gardens is an event programme organized by the British Red Cross and offers a rare opportunity to explore the secrets of hidden and private gardens not usually open to the public. The programme has a spectacular list of gardens of all shapes and sizes throughout the UK.
In 2008, Open Gardens raised more than £175,000 to help the British Red Cross care for people in crisis both in the UK and overseas.
